January 1994 - Ruby attended her first Colorado Speakers Association meeting. She picked up a copy of the CSA Directory and left it on the table for her husband with a note that read, “With your continued love and support, My Dear, - I will be in here someday!”

1994 – Ruby participated in a twelve week Dale Carnegie class and received the “Highest Achievement Award”

Spring 1994 – Ruby presented her first conference session - a Customer Service program for the Colorado Park and Recreation Association’s Spring Workshop.

January 1995 – Ruby’s first paid speaking engagement.

February 1995 – Ruby joined the National Speakers Association.

February 1996 – Ruby was offered a one year contract to be the trainer for Foothills Park and Recreation District.

April 1996 - Incorporated Everybody’s Business, Parent company to RubySpeaks, Inc.

May 10 1996 – Ruby’s last day as an employee of Foothills Parks and Recreation District.

June 1996 – Ruby delivered her first PowerPoint program for Recreation Facilities Design Management School using a borrowed laptop.

June 1996 – Ruby purchased her first laptop.

Fall 1996 - Everybody’s Business received its first Award – Colorado Parks and Recreation Association Award for Education – recognized for developing Foothills Park and Recreation’s Training Program

October 1996 – Ruby spoke for her first National Recreation and Park Association Congress in Kansas City.

October 1996 – Ruby presented “Using the Internet” at the Colorado Speakers Association with fellow speaker Joe Sabah.

May 1997 – Ruby received the “Member of the Year” award for the Colorado Speakers Association for 1996-1997.

Fall 1997-May 1999 served two terms as treasurer for Colorado Speakers Association.

November 1997 – Ruby delivered her first keynote address at the Oklahoma Recreation and Park Society’s annual conference.

May 1998 – Ruby presented her first International Engagement – the Keynote for Canadian Parks/Recreation Association. There were 750 people in attendance.

December 1998 – Ruby published her first article on Training for ‘Colorado Landscape Magazine’.

April 2000 - Ruby Speaks at National Speakers Association Australia in Canberra Australia

August 2000 - Ruby received the Certified Speaking Professional designation at the National Speakers Association annual conference in Washington D.C.

November 2000 – Motivational Leaders Book published.

October 2001 - Published article for Professional Speaker magazine

December 2001 – Received finished product of Ruby’s first tape series, “Supervisor in a Box”
