Pre-Conference ProgramsRuby is frequently asked to present a pre-conference workshop for associations when she is providing a keynote for a state or national conference. This workshop can be used as a fundraiser for the association. Because Ruby is recognized nationally in the field of Parks and Recreation, offering a workshop presented by her can be a great draw for enrollment. Some agencies can’t send a large number of staff to a conference because someone has to stay home and run the programs. Offering a pre-conference workshop allows some staff to attend the pre-conference and others to attend the main conference. This spreads out the educational opportunities to all levels of the profession.
Ruby recommends choosing only two sessions from above for a full day workshop. The registration fee can be for the full day or you can charge for each program separately. Pre-Conference PackagesPackages that are frequently requested and have shown positive results: Package #1 - Ruby performs the Keynote and one breakout session for the conference for her full fee and additionally agrees to offer a one-day pre-conference workshop for a fee of half the registration fees collected for the pre-conference workshop(s). Package #2 - Ruby presents a pre-conference workshop for her regular fee and the association keeps all the revenue collected from the registrations sold for the pre-conference workshop(s).
